Police: Narcotics Sting Nets Arrest of City Mother, Son

Street Crimes, SWAT Team seize gun, ammunition, stolen bike, marijuana, gang literature

Middletown Police arrested a mother and her son Tuesday after tips led officers to homes on Long Lane and Santangelo Circle looking for narcotics sales.

Officers from the Street Crime Unit, SWAT Team, Major Investigations Unit and and Patrol Division executed two search and seizure warrants at 418 Long Lane and 74 Santangelo Circle. Several citizens and an individual from the Middletown Housing Authority reported seeing Tyquan Jackson, 24, and a 17-year-old selling narcotics, according to police.

At Long Lane, officers reporty they found Jackson, his mother Lisa, 41, and a 9-year-old. A search turned up 5.6 grams of marijuana, a loaded .45 caliber Sig-Sauer handgun, a box of ammunition, narcotics packaging, a stolen 2008 Kawasaki dirt bike, gang-related documents designated as “Crip” rules and regulations and more than $1,000 in cash.

According to the report, the Department of Children and Families was notified.

At Santangelo Circle, police found the 17-year-old and plastic bags known by police for packaging narcotics, although none were found.

Tyquan Jackson was arrested for criminal possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, third-degree larceny, possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, and with intent to sell, and within 1,500 feet of a school; possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of injury to a minor. 

Lisa Jackson was charged with interfering with the execution of a search warrant and risk of injury to a minor.
