Police: Man Drove With Blood Alcohol Level 2.5 Times Limit

TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 15 at 5:30 a.m., Marcus T. King, 20, of Main Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

RISK OF INJURY, THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On Sept. 14 at 8 a.m., James Curran, 41, of Lincoln Street turned himself in.

THREE COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 14 at 7 a.m., Edward A. Czapiga Jr., 51, of Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Milldale, turned himself in.

TWO COUNTS VIOLATION PROBATION — On Sept. 14 at 12:52 a.m., Matthew Rivera, 21, of First Street, Meriden, was found with an outstanding warrant on an unwanted person 911 call.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 14 at 9:42 p.m., Jovan Levy, 30, of Schenectady, N.Y., was stopped on West Street while driving 43 mph in a 25 mph zone with a brake light out. He had an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On Sept. 14 at 6:51 p.m., Yanira Feliciano, 32, of Schaefer Road was fighting with her boyfriend after he stayed out all night before planning to leave her. She said she was so angry she blacked out and grabbed a basket, which hit the boyfriend and cut his head; then she fell as he passed out on her. Feliciano said she didn't mean to hit him.

ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Sept. 13 at 11:04 a.m., Alexander L. Wilson, 25, of no certain address was found rummaging in a car at High and Lincoln streets. He told police he had dropped something in the car, which belonged to his friend, "Black." Officers found he had a knife and sony head unit for a car stereo: Wilson said it belonged to a friend, then said he stole it while drinking the night before. He then said it was the car belonging to his former marijuana dealer; later, it looked like a car his drug dealer used to have. His record includes four arrests, including two failures to appear.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER SUSPENSION — On Sept. 13, Dorian C. Blair, 22, of Edgewood Drive, Hartford, while driving a Toyota on Main Street, pulled into a parking stall without signaling.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, UNSAFE PASSING — On Sept. 12 at 4:43 p.m., Mark J. Lord, 31, was driving his motorcycle when he collided with the driver's side of a car at Hotchkiss Drive and Church Street. He was illegally passing the car while it turned left. He was brought to Middlesex Hospital with minor injuries.

THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY, SECOND-DEGREE FORGERY — On Sept. 12, Alexis Barnes, 34, of Hill Street, Meriden, was held by Meriden Police on an active warrant.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Sept. 11 at 11:37 p.m., Bryon Bell, 25, of Boston Road, the subject of a 911 domestic call, was found with an outstanding warrant.

VIOLATION PROBATION — On Sept. 9 at 1:30 p.m., William B. Timmreck, 31, of Evergreen Avenue, Hamden, turned himself into Old Saybrook Police.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATING UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Sept. 9 at 6:29 p.m., Shalom Clark, 35, of Wall Street was driving a Dodge on Walnut Street ahead of an officer. She told police she knew the registration was expired, but she had lost her job and was taking a chance driving it.

FIRST-DEGREE IDENTITY THEFT, CREDIT CARD THEFT, ILLEGAL USE OF CREDIT CARD, THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY — On Sept. 9, Stephanie Bortz, 36, of Main Street, Manchester was arrested on a warrant.

FIRST- AND SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, THIRD-DEGREE BURGLARY, FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY, FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — On Sept. 9, Said Oruczadeh, 25, of Spring Street was arrested on 17 outstanding warrants.

DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE PROPER LANE — On Sept. 8, Christopher M. Curry, 37, of Grove Beach Road, Westbrook, was seen driving his Ford on Randolph Road, swerving and crossing the double-yellow line. He failed the sobriety test and blood alcohol levels were tested at .207 and .203.

DRINKING WHILE OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE, AND UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Sept. 7, Matthew W. Rourke, 43, of Weiss Road, Haddam, was driving on Saybrook Road. He was stopped by an officer, who smelled alcohol on his breath. He admitted to drinking a beer while driving.

SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — On Sept. 2, Brooks A. Benford III, 18, of Maplewood Terrace was in a car with friends at CVS on Main Street Extension when he said he needed to enter the store to get something. Benford kicked over a Yamaha motorcycle parked outside belonging to the night superviser, causing it to fall to the pavement. The left mirror, left hand clutch, left mounted slider and right foot pedal were damaged, about $350 worth. On Sept. 8, Benford turned himself into police, saying he thought at the time it was a funny thing to do.
