The owner said Bell had done the same thing already four times that week. He told police if he left, he would not press charges but Bell refused to leave because he was a paying customer. Four times police asked him to leave after he clenched his fists, dropped his knees and lowered his chin in a fighting stance. He actively resisted arrest.

He appeared drunk to police and slurred his words. The victim said Gorny was drinking since 4 p.m. and the two returned home at 8:30 p.m., their belongings had been thrown around their basement bedroom. He came down and called them “stupid” and “lazy,” police say, yelling at them for two hours. He let their dog outside without a leash, the report says; then punched the female in the mouth, cutting her lip and cheekbone.
