FAILURE TO RESPOND, SHOPLIFTING — On June 28, Maria M. Olmeda, 42, of Main Street, New Britain, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Hartford.

THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY — On June 28, Christopher L. Taylor, 29, of Reynolds Bridge Road, Thomaston, was apprehended by Hartford Police and returned to Middletown for an outstanding warrant stemming from a March 23 incident on South Main Street.

THREE COUNTS FAILURE TO RESPOND — On June 27, Richard Medolago, 61, of Hubbard Street turned himself into police on an outstanding warrant from an incident on Main Street.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On June 27, Newington Police had Jason M. Pinney, 30, of Main Street, East Hartford, in custody. He had an outstanding warrant from a May 9 incident on Johnson Street.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On June 25, Erica C. Sapper, 20, of Town Colony Drive was told several times to stop screaming at officers, waking up neighbors, after they arrested her boyfriend for violation of a protective order.

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On June 25, Kirel Cherry, 21, of Stoneycrest Drive was on Main Street directly after a disturbance and refused to leave the scene, emotionally upset he lost his hat. He was restrained by friends who urged him to leave the area and he caused upset among passersby.

POSSESSION NARCOTICS, AND OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, FAILURE TO KEEP IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER — On June 23, Michael D. Palangio, 43, of South Main Street was at Subway on Main Street and appeared disheveled, fidgeting with hands, scratching his neck with a pale face, sweaty and drying his hands with a paper towel longer than necessary. He ordered two of everything [cookies] and the officer asked him if he was all right, noting his pinpoint pupils. He told police he was arrested for larceny and when asked what his drug of choice was, he said crack. He admitted to having pills on him, turning over four 325 mg oxycodone. He said the bottle belonged to his girlfriend and turned over a short straw.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On June 23, Nicholas St. John, 22, of Higby Road was at RiteAid on Main Street for a shoplifting report concealing a bag of Twizzlers, Snickers bar and two Red Bull energy drinks in his pants and a pair of sunglasses in his sweater, totaling $26.12.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On June 22, Douglas S. O’Leary, 22, of Clay Street, Thomaston, was at RiteAid on Main Street after concealing several rolls of medical tape valued at $6.99 and a die-cast truck at $9.99.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE, FAILURE TO RENEW REGISTRATION AND CARRY CARD, FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY — On June 19, there was a report of a minor car accident at Washington Street and Alsop Avenue. Seathan Jenkins, 19 of Campville Road, Northfield, said while driving his car, in front of him came to a complete stop, and he and his passengers looked to the left and laughed at the amount of hair on the arms of the driver next to them and hit the car in front.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE, AND UNREGISTERED — On June 21, Erica Shay, 34, of Prospect Place, Cromwell, was driving on Liberty Street.

FAILURE TO CARRY LICENSE, DISOBEYING OFFICER’S SIGNAL, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — On June 19 ,Van T. Green, 58, of Liberty Street was driving on Washington Street at 1:19 a.m. ahead of a cruiser and drifted into the right oncoming lane of traffic, corrected himself, then drifted into the left lane. The officer activated his emergency lights and the driver continued down Washington to Main Street and took a left. Another officer pulled ahead of the car and slowed down, and the driver slowed down then jumped from the car while it was still moving and moved toward the officers in an aggressive way. Police told him twice to get on the ground and he refused. Once pushed to the ground he refused to be handcuffed, and in the struggle his glasses and wristwatch were broken.

POSSESSION OF HEROIN, SALE LESS THAN 1 OZ HEROIN — On June 15, Theodore Harris, 48, of Inverness Lane, who had an outstanding warrant, was found at home.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On June 11, Kenneth C. McNeil. 18, of Broad Street was a passenger in a Blazer parked in the Gasman parking lot on Broad Street with the headlights on with many people inside, but the business was closed. The officer saw the driver looking at the cruiser with fear and slumped in his seat. McNeil exited but leaned on the back of the car, while another passenger appeared to hide something inside. The office smelled marijuana from inside and found a small bag of marijuana, 1.4 grams, and a smoking pipe.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE, FAILURE TO MAINTAIN DIRECT COURSE — On May 13, Jeffery Morgan, 48, of High Street was driving on Washington Street ahead of a cruiser and swerved over the dotted white road lines.
