Curious About Crime in Middletown? There's an App for That
Police have partnered with the RAIDSonline crime-mapping service, which gives residents up-to-date police activity by street and the ability to sign up for alerts on crimes as they take place.
The Middletown Police Department announced today is has contracted with an online crime mapping service. RAIDSonline.com is free of charge and provides access to the police department’s calls for service going back to July 2011.
The information can be viewed on a map of the city or in the form of a list and can be customized to meet individual needs. The exact location of the crime is not posted to protect the victims, the crimes are mapped in the area of the crime (within the 100 block).
Middletown citizens can also submit an anonymous tip about acrime directly to their law enforcement agency. RAIDS Online automatically syncs with the Middletown Police Department’s records system to keep crime information updated online and in the mobile app.

RAIDS Online cleans and geocodes the crime data, then displays all of the incidents on a map, grid and analytics dashboard alongwith some basic information about the incidents, including the type of crime, location type, block-level address,date and time.
