PD: Woman Hit Boyfriend in Face With Red Bull Can Twice

Middletown Police say the couple was arguing over an event that took place in 1977.

A 43-year-old city woman who argued with her boyfriend over an event that took place in 1977, became so enraged that she slugged him in the face twice with a Red Bull can, according to Middletown Police.

On Oct. 18 at 6 p.m., police were called to a home on East Main Street for a domestic in which Dawn Marie Jarvis, 43, of East Main Street said she and her boyfriend had a verbal argument about an event in 1977 in which she got so angry she hit him twice with a Red Bull can in his face, the report says.

He smelled of alcohol, police say, and his daughter's girlfriend confirmed what happened. Jarvis, who has 14 prior arrests and convictions for disorderly, interfering and resisting, said she did not hit her boyfriend.

She was charged with disorderly conduct.

OK, the article is poorly written or I am missing something because it is so early... "the victim, Dawn Marie Jarvis, 43" How is she the victim, if she hit him? "He smelled of alcohol" makes it sound like he hit her, not her hitting him. What does that have to do with his getting hit?
