A 58-year-old city woman is facing a DUI charge after Middletown Police say she patronized a fast-food restaurant drive-through window while intoxicated, hitting the building with her car, and falling asleep at the wheel.

On Aug. 8 at 10:13 p.m., police were called to on Washington Street for an intoxicated woman who tried to drive away, according to the report. Once there, police saw a Nissan Altima stopped in the drive-through lane at the pick-up window, with Lynne Fitzpatrick of Washington Street in the passenger seat, police say.

The manager told officers Fitzpatrick's car had hit the building while proceeding through the drive-through, and, according to the report, she had fallen asleep at the wheel.
