PD: Motorcyclist Hits Car, Crashes Through Apt Bedroom Window

Middletown Police say a 29-year-old city resident is in serious condition after speeding from Mad Murphy's Cafe Monday night and causing a serious accident.

A 29-year-old city man is in serious condition at Hartford Hospital after police say he sped from the parking lot of a Middletown pub, hit a car and crashed through the bedroom window of a nearby apartment.

On Monday at 8:28 p.m., the responded to the report of a car vs. motorcycle crash in the area of .

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle sped from the parking lot of Mad Murphy's Cafe at 288 South Main Street, struck a car and continued traveling toward the Wilcox Apartments directly across the street.

The motorcycle and operator, Ryan Foell, 29, of Bartholomew Road in Middletown, crashed through the bedroom window of an apartment at 309 South Main Street, finally resting inside the apartment, the report details. 

Foell was treated on scene by Middletown Fire and Hunter’s Ambulance. Due to serious injuries, he was brought to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
