PD: Man Walking Dogs Stole Purse, Coins From Cars

Middletown Police say a 33-year-old resident broke into cars on High Street.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — On Jan. 25, Jonathan Dunais, 33, of Burr Avenue was seen by a witness walking his dogs on High Street then break into two cars at 30 and 55 High Street. Police say he took change from the center console. At 55 High, he was seen taking a rock and breaking the passenger-side window and stealing a pocketbook from the car, the report says. Police saw him throw a big bag in the area of 79 High Street, which turned out to be the purse.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Jan. 25, Jack Gudrian, 53, of Grand Street was in a physical fight with his son after arguing about the son being on the telephone, striking him in the face and pushing him onto a shelf. The report says Gudrian swore at officers.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE LICENSE IS SUSPENDED — On Jan. 20, Christopher M. Langdon, 56, of Dunham Street, Southington, was at Washington and West streets in a disabled pickup truck. Police say he cancelled his vanity plate on July 1, 2011, the day before his license was suspended.
