A 49-year-old city man arrested after driving under the influence of beer, vodka and cocaine was charged just days before after crashing two of his girlfriend's cars within six hours, Middletown Police say.
On Feb. 15 at 8:15 p.m., police received a call from a woman saying her boyfriend, Timothy A. Williams of Town Colony Drive, had taken her car, a Chevrolet Malibu, without permission, the report says. She said he was in two accidents the week before with both her cars.
On Feb. 9, Williams was charged with evading responsibility, failure to obey a traffic signal, and failure to signal properly (see One Man: Two Cars, Two Accidents, Six Hours).
She said Williams drank a couple beers, 16 ounces of vodka then did cocaine. She told officers she found some cocaine and flushed it down the toilet. The car was found parked in front of Gigi’s Bar on East Main Street, the report says, then Williams drove it to Cooley Avenue, making a turn without signaling; he was staggering and smelled of alcohol, the report says. Police report he failed a sobriety test. Police gave him two urine tests at 9:50 and 10:25 p.m. He admitted to drinking two 16 ounce beers from 4 to 4:10 p.m. and no drugs.
Williams was chargd with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
