PD: Female Couple's Tangle Ends With Tasing

Middletown Police say a Green Street woman and her wife fought over texts from an ex-girlfriend.

 

A married couple's fight over one woman receiving texts from her ex-girlfriend, according to .

On April 5, Rachael Merritt, 25, of Green Street was in a loud verbal fight with her wife, Silvana C. Gerrish, 31, of Rook Road, Cromwell, after she found text-messages from her wife’s ex-girlfriend, police report.

When police arrived they saw Merritt had a red mark on her arm she said was from a beer can thrown at her.

Later at headquarters, the report says, Gerrish was standing on the counter during booking and refused to be seated, so an electronic control device [Taser] was used on her.

Both were arrested for disorderly conduct and Gerrish additionally for interfering with an officer.
