PD: Felon Passing By Saloon Helps Himself to Patron's Beer in $10 Glass
Middletown Police say Joseph Maberry, who couldn't explain his actions, has an extensive criminal record, ranging from public indecency to sexual assault.
A 49-year-old convicted felon walking by a north end bar helped himself to a patron's beer on the outdoor patio — and took of with the $10 "signature" glass, according to Middletown Police.
On July 27 at 5:46 p.m., police on foot patrol on Main and Ferry streets heard the owner of the yelling and pointing toward Joseph Maberry, 49, of Erin Street, saying he stole a glass, the report says.
"Officers are very familiar with Maberry as he has been causing problems on Main Street," the report says. The owner testified that Maberry had grabbed a drink in a $10 signature glass from a customer on his outdoor patio and drank from it.

Maberry offered no explanation for his actions, the report says.
He is a felon with multiple convictions for first-degree aggravated sexual assault, first-degree sexual assault, first- and third-degree robbery, disorderly conducts, breach of peace, assault on personnel, public indecency, probation violation, patronizing a prostitute, third-degree assault, failure to register, second-degree threatening, operating under the influence, burglary, criminal trespass and larceny, the report details.

He was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
