PD: Father Employs 'Full Nelson' to Halt Son's Advance

Middletown Police say a 52-year-old Chamberlain Road man admitted to using an illegal amateur wrestling move to subdue his son during an argument.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, ISSUING BAD CHECK — On June 10 at 1:30 p.m., James M. Wilkinson, 63, of Berlin Court, Berlin, was picked up by police on an outstanding warrant after being held by Berlin Police at Cromwell Wal-Mart.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On June 10, an anonymous tip came into police that Jordan Clark, 21, of Hotchkiss Street was walking on Warwick and South Main streets with an outstanding warrant.

BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On June 10, Sean C. Wosatka, 33, of Maple Avenue, Metuchen, N.J., was involved in a physical domestic on Sylvan Avenue in which a New Jersey family was celebrating  graduation when Wosatka, the report says, who was heavily drunk, punched his younger brother in the jaw, causing swelling and blood. Wosatka allegedly pushed his diabetic cousin into a pool, the report says, and was belligerent when police tried to arrest him.

BREACH OF PEACE — On June 10 at 7:48 p.m., Deanna M. Martinez, 21, of North Pearl Street, Meriden, was in a car with her twin brother, Angel M. Martinez, 21, police say, driving to Middletown, when they got into a physical fight witnessed by a friend. Both had scratch marks on their bodies, the report says. Both were charged.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THIRD-DEGREE STRANGULATION — On June 9 at 12 p.m., the son of Stephen M. Tirone, 52, of Chamberlain Road filed a domestic complaint, saying at 11 a.m., his father asked him to help with yard work and the son said his friends were coming over and he couldn't, the report says. The fight escalated when his father pushed him to the floor, and began to choke him, the report details. The son said he had to beg for air. The son left and drove to Crystal Lake, police say, where the father followed him to "make peace." Tirone admitted to police he pushed his son after he came at him in an "intimidating way" and tried to restrain him with a "full Nelson," the report says. Tirone told officers his son is bipolar, schizophrenic and has anger management problems, the report says.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On June 8 at 6:24 p.m., Daniel Santamaria, 20, of Main Street was seen by officers cross the street outside a crosswalk at Main and Ferry streets. He was found with an outstanding warrant from State Police Troop E, Montville.

SECOND-DEGREE STALKING, SECOND-DEGREE HARASSMENT, THREATENING — On June 8 at 7:20 p.m., Christopher Gambardella, 38, of Hanover Street, Meriden, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant from May 29.
