PD: Speeding Wrong-Way Driver Crashed With 3 Passengers

Middletown Police say a 22-year-old city man fled the accident scene on foot.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, RECKLESS DRIVING, DISOBEYING OFFICER SIGNAL, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — On June 27 at 1:30 a.m., police responding to an alarm box at South Main and Crescent streets saw a car speeding on Loveland Street in the wrong direction, operated by Dana Sweeney, 22, of Sisk Street. The report says Sweeney crashed the car at Pine Street and Lawn Avenue with three passengers inside and fled on foot.

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, USE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On June 26 at 8:08 p.m., police were following up on a June 25 home invasion on Washington Street by visiting a Liberty Street home, looking for Robert A. Chisem, 42, of Prospect Place, according to the report. Officers saw Chisem arguing with another man, and when he saw officers, he allegedly ran, throwing a pipe in the grass. He stopped on Pearl Street and faced off with officers, the report says, as they fought and he resisted arrest. The pipe tested positive for crack cocaine, the report says.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On June 25 at 9:13 a.m., police saw a Mercedes SUV on Saybrook Road and Clew Avenue with brake lights out driven by Linda M. Mozzicato, 43, of Newtown Street. She had an outstanding warrant from Newington, police say.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, FAILURE TO OBEY CONTROL SIGNAL — On June 22 at 8:13 p.m., Alexandra L. White, 21, of Lynn Road, Ivoryton, was driving on Washington Street and failed to stop for a red light at Main Street, the report says. She sped on Washington and was stopped by an officer at Bernie O'Rourke Drive
