PD: Essex Motorcyclist Critical After Middletown Crash
Middletown Police say a 45-year-old man lost control of his bike Friday afternoon while driving near Aircraft Road.
A 45-year-old Essex man is in critical condition after the motorcycle he was driving Friday afternoon hit a tree.
On Friday at 4:40 p.m., a serious motorcycle versus tree collision took place near 324 Freeman Road.

Gene Carey, 45, of Essex, was traveling east on Freeman Road on a 1979 Yamaha XS 650 motorcycle, when, police say, he traveled off the south side of the road, hitting a tree.
Carey was brought to Hartford Hospital by LIFE STAR and is listed in critical condition.
