PD: City Man Charged With Trespassing After Returning to Wesleyan Library

Middletown Police say a 20-year-old city man was found in the Olin Library by staff, who identified him as a past suspect in computer thefts.

On July 5 at 1 p.m., police received a call from Wesleyan University Public Safety that an unwanted person was at the Olin Library on Church Street, according to Middletown Police.

Stephen Anderson, 20, of Blue Spruce Street was found on the library's second floor, the report says, and staff identified him as a past suspect in computer larcenies.

Police had warned him several times not to return, the report says, and Anderson told them he knew of the restriction but only wanted to use a computer.

Anderson was charged with first-degree criminal trespass.
