PD: City Man Disobeyed Protective Order by Confronting Ex

Connecticut State Police say a 24-year-old city man violated a civil court order when he spoke with his former girlfriend at Middletown Superior Court.

 

On Aug. 6 at 10:51 a.m., a , trooper was contacted by a female victim who said her ex-boyfriend confronted her at in Middletown, while a protective order was in place.

Joshua M. Botelho, 24, of Omo Street, Middletown, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

He has pending charges with the court, including disorderly conduct and possession of a vicious barking dog.

On May 14, police were called by Middletown Animal Control on an involving Botelho. A witness saw him punch his mother in the stomach as the animal control officer was speaking with him about their dog when he became upset that she gave the dog away to a shelter, the report says.
