Det. Fuchs Promoted to Sgt.

He has volunteered with the Middletown Police Union as vice president and executive board member and in the community as a soccer coach for Middletown Youth Soccer.

On Friday, Det. David Fuchs was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the at City Hall.

Fuchs has been a police officer for the past 12 years, starting his career in law enforcement with the Wallingford Police Department and in November of 2006 he was hired by the Middletown Police Department.

He was a member of the Wallingford PD SWAT team and he has been a field training officer with the Middletown Police Department. For the past three years, Fuchs has been an intricate part of the Investigative Services Division as the lead investigator in the and other major cases.

Fuchs is former Active Duty Navy and Naval Reserves and has an associates in applied science degree for Law Enforcement from Alexandria College.
