Middletown Woman Arrested for Cocaine Possession

Incident Reports: Middletown Police and State Police Troop F Westbrook

FAILURE TO APPEAR — On March 16 at 3:15 a.m., Middletown officers were conducting a motor vehicle stop on deKoven Drive, when the passenger of the car, Christine Robinson, 27, West Main St., Sprague, was identified as having an active PRAWN warrant out of Connecticut State Police Troop E, Montville. She was processed and given a March 25 court date.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE — On March 15 at 6:57 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop for failure to obey a stop sign near the intersection of Newfield and Liberty streets, Lester Roberts, 45, of South Street, Cromwell was determined to have an active warrant out of New Orleans for failure to comply with sex offender registration. He has a March 21 court day in Middletown.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER — On March 15 at 9:14 p.m., there was a call at 400 Washington St., Apt. D7, on the report of a domestic disturbance: a female screaming and a male chasing after her. An officer saw Loretta Miller, 47, of Glynn Avenue, Middletown, in a heated argument with her fiancé in the hallway. Officers found a small amount of cocaine in Miller’s purse. During her arrest, the report says, Miller attempted to run at an officer and struggling with police. During booking, Miller took off one of her boots and threw it at an officer, according to the report.

MISUSE OF MARKER PLATE, OPERATING UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATE — On March 14 at 6:28 p.m., Amaro Vitale, 34, of Mechanic St., North Haven, was seen driving a green Nissan Altima south on Ridge Road with no front marker plate. The rear plate, 313WFJ, police determined was registered to a white, 2002 Chrysler convertible. According to the report, Vitale told police he had canceled the plate a week before. He was given a March 28 court date.

BREACH OF PEACE, SECOND-DEGREE THREATENING — On Feb. 22 at 1:05 p.m., Joseph A. Agostino, 29, of Portland, following a custody hearing at GA 9 in Middletown, allegedly threatened to harm his ex-girlfriend. He left the scene prior to police arriving. An arrest warrant was issued. On March 7, he was taken into custody by Connecticut State Police Troop F Westbrook and given a March 8 court date.
