UPDATE: Police Say Middletown Prosecutor Found Dead in Glastonbury Committed Suicide

Report: Medical examiner has not declared a cause of death for John Cashmon, 56, stopped by police after driving erratically on Hebron Avenue.

Update: The Middletown Press is reporting police said it appears Cashmon committed suicide and investigators have closed the case, according to a spokesman for the Connecticut State Police.

A 56-year-old Middletown Superior Court supervisory assistant state's attorney was found dead in the woods late Saturday by Glastonbury Police after being arrested from driving under the influence, according to the Hartford Courant.

The article says John M. Cashmon left the police station on foot and was found dead in a wooded area by a CVS pharmacy near the police station.

According to Martindale.com, Cashmon has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut and law degree from Law School Western New England College. He practiced since 1986.
