Middletown Police Want Public Input on Firing Range Noise Levels

The Dingwall-Horan Joint Firearms Training Facility used by city police and FBI agents is considering a noise abatement policy this June.

The Middletown Police Department will be scheduling a meeting for some time in June to have an open discussion with the residents about the noise levels coming from the facility.  Anyone who has concerns is urged to attend the meeting.

The Middletown Police Department is looking to hear from residents who live near the Dingwall Horan Joint Firearms Training Facility. There are upgrades that are going to be made to the facility regarding noise abatement and we would like the residents in the area to voice any concerns they have regarding noise levels.

Staff will be setting up a meeting at the Westfield Fire House but would like to find out how many people are interested in attending.

The training facility is located off of Route 66 near the Middletown, Middlefield line.

Contact Officer William Hertler at (860) 638-4123 or e-mail whertler@middletownctpolice.com to attend by June 7.
