Middletown Police Interim Commander Named

Capt. McKenna Will Become Acting Deputy Chief of Police While Capt. McMahon Attends FBI Academy

The Middletown Police Department has announced that Capt. William McKenna will be named acting deputy chief of police April 11, while Acting Chief Patrick McMahon attends the FBI National Academy for two months.

McMahon is expected to return to his position June 13.

Acting Deputy Chief of Police Gregory Sneed announced earlier this month he had accepted a position as associate director of public safety at Eastern Connecticut State University and would be leaving the police department on April 12.

Lieutenant John Lozefski, now the Investigative Services Division executive officer, will assume command of ISD.
