FAILURE TO USE SEATBELT FOR CHILD, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT MINIMUM INSURANCE, AND WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, EVADING RESPONSIBILITY — On July 18 at 11:15 a.m., Allissa LaHalle, 24, of Rose Circle was stopped by police while driving a Honda Accord away from an accident on Newfield Street. The report says she told the officer she was late for court but admitted hitting another car in a parking lot with a 4-year-old in the back seat without a seatbelt on.

FAILURE TO APPEAR — On July 18 at 7 a.m., Robert David Zawisza, 45, of Plumb Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, UNREASONABLE SPEED, RECKLESS DRIVING, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE — On July 18 at 12:30 p.m., Zahir M. Mannan, 23, of Freeman Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, DISTRIBUTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES LESS THAN 1,500 FEET FROM SCHOOL, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — On July 17, Rickie Lee Rouhlac, 35, of Baer Street was driving a Nissan Maxima on Maple Street when police stopped him and, according to the report, he stopped the car at Maple Place and ran, emptying his pockets along the way. The report says he had 3.7 grams of crack cocaine.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On July 17 at 10:39 p.m., Rocco P. Romano, 39, of Lincoln Street was at the Continuum of Care group home where, police say, a report was made of stolen cash from a third-floor office where the door was kicked in. On June 23, the officer recalled, Romano stole an ATM card from the third-floor office and withdrew $400 in cash to pay for crack cocaine in New Haven. The report says Romano has at least two pending cases at Middletown Superior Court. He made a written confession to the crime, police say, writing that at 7:10 p.m. his cravings for crack became uncontrollable so he broke down the door and found $40 in cash, then bought crack at Liberty and Pearl Street , smoking it with a man named "Red."

NARCOTICS KEPT ONLY IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER — On July 12, Katelynn C. Vertefeuille, 25, of North Main Street, Fall River, Mass., was a passenger in a Infiniti involved in a car accident on Route 9. The driver appeared nervous, the report says, and admitted his girlfriend, Vertefeuille had marijuana (three .7 gram bags) and a pill bottle with three Seroquel pills, two Xanax, a .7 gram marijuana blunt and two cigars. At headquarters, police say, she asked to keep the marijuana or "at least the blunt," then said she would appeal the infraction because she was "on welfare."

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — On July 6 at 9:10 p.m., Michael Prith, 25, of Walnut Street was driving a Nissan Sentra on East Main Street with a hard-to-read paper temporary plate that was expired.
