Middletown Man Arrested on 13-Year-Old Warrant

Joseph Roget, 51, was charged following a motor vehicle stop in Middletown.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Dec. 20 at 9:57 p.m., Michael G. Birner, 47, Redstone Drive, Simsbury, turned himself into Middletown Police on an outstanding warrant out of Vernon.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Dec. 20, Joseph Roget, 51, of Union Street was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Oct. 2, 1998, following a motor vehicle stop.

FAILURE TO DRIVE AT REASONABLE DISTANCE AND IN PROPER LANE, IMPROPER HAND SIGNAL AND DUI — On Dec. 16 at 10:24 p.m., Liba R. Brenton, 27, of George Street was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Route 9, tailgating an officer’s cruiser. It cut into the far right only lane for Exit 19, passed several vehicles on the right and swerved through the travel lane, narrowly missing a collision with the exit sign. The car crossed the Middletown city line and veered off the left shoulder onto the grass then veer back into the far right lane and followed several cars at an unsafe distance while driving 95-100 miles per hour. Inside the car, police saw either food or vomit covering the center console. Officers smelled alcohol on Brenton’s breath. Blood alcohol levels registered .166 and .154. His license was seized for 48 hours.

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATION UNREGISTERED AND UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLE, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE — On Dec. 20, Jason A. Dellavalle, 30, of Coe Avenue was driving on Main Street without a front plate.

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATION UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Dec. 17, Angela J. Markham, 47, of Banner Road, Moodus, was driving on South Main Street without a front plate.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Dec. 8 at 12:08 p.m., Anthony Gonzalez, 18, of Traverse Square was at Rite-Aid Pharmacy on Main Street and seen by store security conceal a package of Duracell batteries valued at $21.26 and leave the store.
