Middletown Firefighters March in 75th Anniversary Parade

The celebration was in honor of the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department's 75th anniversary and coincided with the Connecticut Firefighters Convention.

Middletown firefighters traveled to north central Connecticut this past weekend to march in the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department's parade.

Enfield, Vernon, Manchester, Broad Brook, East Granby and as far away as North Haven and New York sent firefighters and apparatus to participate in the festive event timed to coincide with both the department's 75th anniversary and the Connecticut Firefighters Convention Sunday.

It was followed by a town-wide celebration at Nevers Park with a giant picnic, food, games, a craft fair, and music to commemorate our anniversary.

The bands Tirebiter and Savage Brothers played live on stage at the Rotary Pavilion.
