Middletown Arrests: Sept. 15-24
The following information was provided by the Middletown Police Department public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Middletown Police report the following incidents:
VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On Sept. 24 at 12:45 p.m., David A. McMahon, 50, of High Street was involved in a car accident on Main Street and Dingwall Drive. He was found with an outstanding warrant from Hartford.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, AND WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON RIGHT, FAILURE TO HAVE LIGHTS LIT — On Sept. 23 at 12:25 a.m., William R. Allen, 22, of Great Hill Road, East Hartford, was driving a Toyota Corolla on Main Street without headlights on, the report says. It turned too tightly to the left and entered oncoming traffic almost hitting a cruiser, the report indicates. Allen told the officer he was tired and didn't realize his lights were off because of the street lights.
SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Sept. 21 at 9:30 a.m., Middletown Police picked up Robert A. Chisem, 42, of Prospect Place from the Hartford Correctional Facility for an outstanding warrant.

EVADING RESPONSIBILITY, DUI — On Sept. 19, police were called to a fire hydrant at South Main and Loveland streets that had been hit by an evading motorist. Witness descriptions led officers to a damaged car driven by Geoffrey Patrick Webb, 38, of Oak Terrace, Durham, according to the report. He was showing signs of intoxication, the report says, and failed a sobriety test. Breathalyzer tests registered .1833 and .1753 blood alcohol content, the report indicates.
TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — On Sept. 17 at 3:49 p.m., Destenie LD Watford, 24, of High Street was involved in a car crash at Westfield Street and Bailey Road. The report says Watford has a prior arrest for driving under suspension and failure to appear from 2009.
