Middletown Arrests: Sept. 29 to Oct. 9

Middletown Police report the following incidents:
Oct. 9
TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — Nicole Riley, 22, of South Street, Cromwell, was found by police during a missing persons investigation and had two outstanding warrants.
Oct. 8
FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — At 11:27 p.m., Middletown Police officers at Eli Cannon's restaurant saw Krust employees struggling across the street to remove a patron, Thomas Hirsch, 62, of College Street, and calling for help. According to the report Hirsch pushed the owner and threatened to return to collect his money. At 3:20 p.m. the next day, police were called about Hirsch who was harassing the other owner of Krust and employees twice that day.
Oct. 5
OPERATION WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 2:16 p.m., Shelby Johnson, 21, of Westfield Street was involved in a car accident at Highland Avenue and South Main Street.
Sept. 29
SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, CONSPIRACY, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER, BREACH OF PEACE — At 3:30 a.m., a victim was in a car parked at Pearl and College streets with an open trunk and a broken rear window, according to the report. The victim told police he was driving with three passengers in his car at Vine and Church streets when he heard a loud crash and his back window shattered. The report says he saw a man with a crowbar who drove away and he got the license plate. On Oct. 3 at 7:10 p.m., police say the victim gave a contradictory statement. Later, police say, the victim pointed out the individuals he said broke his window and after a foot chase, Dylan Niehoff, 21, of High Street was apprehended at a Wesleyan University dormitory.
