Middletown Arrests: Oct. 22-24

The following information was provided by the Middletown Police Department public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

BREACH OF PEACE, DRINKING IN PUBLIC — On Oct. 24 at 5 p.m., police were called to 200 Main Street on the report of a suspicious person. The responding officer recognized James A. Reynolds, 58, of Pomeroy Place, the report says, as the same man who was loitering earlier that evening in Metro Plaza and had gotten a ticket for doing so as he had a half-empty 24-ounce Natural Ice can and another full can in a bag.

He was sitting on a bench, eating wings and began yelling expletives “at the top of his lungs” at officers, with 15 people in the area watching him, police say. His response to police was, “you know who I am,” the report indicates. A pat-down revealed a nipper of whiskey in Reynolds’ pocket.

Police warned him not to drink in public, the report says, but kept yelling and causing a disturbance and so was arrested.

She smelled of alcohol and had trouble balancing while standing, police indicate. She failed three sobriety tests and refused a chemical breath analysis. This is her second DUI, the report says.
