Middletown Arrests: Oct. 11-15

The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

FUGITIVE ARREST WITH WARRANT — On Oct. 15 at 9:40 a.m., Michael D. Angel, 44, of South Main Street was served with an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FINGERPRINTS — On Oct. 15 at 4 p.m., police picked up Cynthia McKnight, 50, of Hillside Avenue at Middlesex Hospital on an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Oct. 15 at 12:57 p.m., Kadell Chappell, 24, of Quinnipiac Avenue, New Haven, was driving on Washington Street near Newfield and found with an outstanding warrant.

FAILURE TO KEEP PLATES READABLE, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Oct. 15, Abbe Cyr, 35, of Braeburn Lane, was driving a Toyota Scion on Smith Street toward East Street.

FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON RIGHT, DRINKING WHILE DRIVING, DUI — On Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m., Tyler P. Rook, 53, of Kelsey Street was seen by an officer speeding on South Main Street. His blood-alcohol levels registered .165 and .158 percent.

DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE AT REASONABLE DISTANCE — On Oct. 14 at 3:56 a.m., Jerell Bernard Lester, 22, of no certain address was driving at Washington Street and Plaza Drive.

TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, EVADING, FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON RIGHT — On Oct. 13 at 5:45 p.m., Martin A. Staple, 28, of Stirling Court, was picked up on an outstanding warrant.

USE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, TWO COUNTS WEAPONS IN VEHICLE, OPERATION WITHOUT MINIMUM INSURANCE, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Oct. 11 at 6:44 p.m., Nichole Bishop, 28, of Main Street, Portland, was driving a Chevy Cavalier on Union Street. Police say a search revealed crack cocaine, a pair of brass knuckles, a 9-inch-long butterfly knife and three unused hypodermic needles. Bishop was charged for the above and Joseph St. Paul, 28, of Ten Acre Road, was charged with use of drug paraphernalia.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, AND UNREGISTERED CAR, AND WITHOUT MINIMUM INSURANCE — On Oct. 11 at 12:42 a.m., Michael A. Latronica, 61, of Prospect Street was driving a Pontiac Vibe on Liberty Street.
