Middletown Arrests: May 26 to June 4

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

June 4

FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — At 1:25 p.m., Bryant Hayre, 42, of Union Street was on the Wesleyan University campus after being warned days earlier not to return.

June 1

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — At 1:51 p.m., Scott L. Wilson, 52, of High Street was at Spear Park on William Street when police were called about an intoxicated man in an electric wheelchair. The report says he was sleeping with a one-liter bottle of vodka that was almost empty and police recognized him from past encounters. He immediately became combative, the report says, amid many people and children, and swore at police with slurred speech. He was then sent to the hospital for detoxification, swearing at ambulance workers and tried to hit police.

May 31

THIRD-DEGREE BURGLARY, THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY — Janelis M. Serrano, 19, of Spring Street, Meriden, turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

May 27

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE — At 8:42 p.m., Jeffrey Granfield, 42, of Cottage Street was driving a Toyota Camry on deKoven Drive and Union Street with a broken brake light.

May 26

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE, TINTED WINDOWS, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA, POSSESSION MARIJUANA PARAPHERNALIA — At 5:06 p.m., Reuben Germain, 24, of Longview Drive, East Windsor, was driving a Nissan Maxima on Cross Street when police smelled marijuana in the car. The report says Germain denied having pot but then police found a marijuana grinder with residue, cigarette papers, small marijuana blunt, and baggie with 4.8 grams of marijuana.
