Middletown Arrests May 17-30

The following police reports are obtained from the Middletown Police public information officer and inclusion on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

May 30

TWO COUNTS VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — Tamaria M. Patterson, 24, of South Main Street called a protected victim on the phone and left a message saying he would be waiting for her at her home, according to the report.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 11:30 a.m., police were called to a Pearl Street apartment about Kristen Chapone, 23, who attacked her boyfriend Justin A. Wilson, 31, both of Pearl Street, during and argument an cut his hands in the process. Chapone said Wilson attacked her. On the floor, police say, there was broken glass from a broken picture and the door latch was broken as well from being forced open. Both were arrested.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM,  — At 11 a.m., Samantha K. Beck, 40, of Santangelo Circle was driving on Westfield Street.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 10:40 a.m., Ajmal L. Jenkins, 37, of Afton Terrace was driving on Union and Main streets.

FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 10:20 a.m., Terrice L. Powell, 47, of Main Street, Hartford, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION, TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS EVADING RESPONSIBILITY, DISTRACTED DRIVING, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT LICENSE — At 10 a.m., Steven B. Ellam, 22, of no certain address was involved in a car accident in which all occupants of the car fled the scene, according to the report. Ellam told officers he didn't have a license and panicked after losing control of the car while looking away from the road. It caused extensive damage to a AT&T utility box, police say and the front yard of a home at 1102 River Road. A search revealed two bags of marijuana in his pocket, the report says, totaling 2 grams. He also had an outstanding warrant.

FAILURE TO WEAR SAFETY BELT, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — Alonzo Watson, 24, of Bidwell Terrace was driving a Dodge Neon on Hubbard and Church streets without a seatbelt and no drivers license.

May 23
INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 6:31 p.m., Frederick Rush, 26, of Maplewood Terrace was driving an Acura Legend on Saybrook Road without a front license plate. 

May 21
OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — Tamika Jackson, 32, of Caroldon Road was driving on Main Street without a seatbelt.

FAILURE TO WEAR SAFETY BELT, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — Christin N. Ward, 32, of Foster Street, Meriden, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Grand and Main streets and didn't have identification, according to the report. The registration belonged to a Ford Contour owned by another person.

May 18
OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM —At 1:41 p.m., Michael G. Greenwood, 41, of Newfield Street was driving on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

May 17
OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 10:58 p.m., Lynn Nursick, 51, of Freestone Avenue, Portland, was driving on Main and Court streets. She told police the car belonged to her son and she didn't know it was unregistered.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 10:09 a.m., Kelly J. Dunnigan, 25, of Grieb Road, Wallingford, was driving on Wetmore Place and Washington Street.
