Middletown Arrests: Feb. 22 to March 7

The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Middletown Police report the following incidents: 

March 7

OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE —At 5:17 p.m., Alquan Lawrence, 35, of South Main Street was stopped while driving his car on Washington and Jackson streets.

March 6

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — At 3:40 p.m., Lisa M. Gibbs, 45, of Bow Lane was involved in a fight on Main Street and arriving officers discovered she was the same woman they had dealt with twice in the last 40 minutes, the report indicates. She was panhandling, harassing pedestrians and then argued with her boyfriend because he wouldn't buy her alcohol, police indicate. Five minutes later she was standing in front of the Middletown Area Transit bus station and stopped pedestrians asking for money, police say, then screamed at officers she was only asking for a cigarette. 

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, RESTRICTED TURN — At 9:49 a.m., James Granata, 54, of Coe Avenue Extension, Portland, was driving a Ford Explorer XLT SUV on Berlin Street and turn without signaling. The report says Granata said he got the license plate from a friend. 

March 2

BREACH OF PEACE — Lashanda Gregory, 26, of Main Street was seen acting suspiciously with a man at Main and Liberty streets, the report says. The unidentified man had an outstanding warrant from Maine. While he was being interviewed, police say, Gregory screamed at and interrupted officers in an aggressive manner, drawing a crowd. The report says she threatened to beat up a woman who had made a comment about the man.

Feb. 22

OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED — At 5:18 p.m., Louis Littlejohn, 46, of Spring Street was stopped by police driving on Liberty Street
