Middletown Arrests: June 7-9

The following police reports are obtained directly from the Middletown Police public information officer and inclusion on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

June 9

RISK OF INJURY TO CHILD, SECOND-DEGREE FALSE STATEMENT, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, THIRD-DEGREE STRANGULATION — At 12 p.m., Ramon A. Acuna, 31, of Newington Avenue, New Britain, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 1:34 p.m., Crystal A. Miles, 30, of LaBella Circle was walking down the railroad tracks on Union Street and found with two outstanding warrants. 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 10:30 a.m., Joseph Roget, 53, of Santangelo Circle, while intoxicated, allegedly pushed his wife, according to the report. Their daughter told police she witnessed the assault, and police say Roget had slurred speech and argued with his wife because, "he pays all the bills."

June 8

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 1:06 a.m., police were called about a physical domestic in which Pasha L. Pharnam, 27, of Ferry Street, who is dating Tianna T. Hardy, 21, of Ferry Street. and lives with her, fought with her. Both were arrested. Pharnam told police she is pregnant and had pain in her stomach and scratches on her neck from the fight, according to the report.

June 7

BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — At 2:39 p.m., Steven R. Espositio, 55, of East Main Street, Plainville, assaulted his stepsister at their mother's home, according to the report, after the victim arrived to help move furniture and Esposito said to the victim and his mother's caregiver, "which one of you are going to get off their fat [rear ends] and walk the dog." He became angry, the report says, and grabbed her wrist and tee-shirt, hurting her, then broke a broom over her head, spit in her face and swung an aluminum water bottle at her. Police say he was walking toward the front door and screaming, then shut the door on his stepsister's hand and drove away in a Ford Focus. He was stopped at 3:08 p.m. by Plainville Police. He told police he had a verbal argument with the victim and broke the broom over his knee, according to the report.
