July 12

VIOLATION OF PROBATION — At 7:30 a.m., Tkeitus D. Cherry, 28, of South Main Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

July 10

FAILURE TO HAVE STOP LAMPS, ILLEGAL OPERATION UNDER THE INFLUENCE — At 1:27 a.m., Abraham Casarez-Campos, 24, of Randolph Road was driving a Volkwgen Jetta on South Main Street, according to the report, and police said he smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot and glossy eyes.

July 9

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 9 a.m., Shadora Arrington, 22, of Flower Street turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

RECKLESS DRIVING, DUI, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT — At 6:15 p.m., police served an arrest warrant on Michael R. Dlugos, 31, of Forest Glenn Circle at his home.

DUI, OPERATION CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE IN VIOLATION OF LICENSE CLASSIFICATION, CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — At midnight, police were called to Plainville to pick up Margaret Orzol, 29, of Basswood Street, Plainville, on an outstanding warrant.

FRAUD, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 8:20 a.m., Patricia A. Hollis, 63, of Newfield Street turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 7:30 a.m., Joanne M. Bielomyza, 35, of Trolley Crossing turned herself in on an outstanding warrant. 

July 8

DUI, FAILURE TO HAVE LIGHT LIT — At 7:12 p.m., Jevon Patterson, 27, of Grand Street was driving an Acura on Spring Street and turned onto Pearl without stopping fully. The report says Patterson, slurring his speech, kept talking about the tireless rim in his back seat and the officer couldn't understand him and "directed his answers toward the rim." He smelled of alcohol, the report says, and Patterson admitted to drinking a pint of Hennessey. He failed a sobriety test and his blood alcohol levels registered .153 and .1404.

DUI — At 10:23 p.m., Harry Bryant, 50, of Glen Street, New Britain, was driving Mercedes on Court and deKoven Drive with a broken stop lamp, according to the report. He had bloodshot and glassy eyes and admitted drinking one beer, the report says. He failed a sobriety test and his blood alcohol levels registered .1543 and .1446.

July 5

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE AND WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 4:51 p.m., Dominick J. Santamaria, 45, of Prospect Street was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Main and Washington streets.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 9 a.m., Damion Lindo, 33, of Ferry Street was picked up by state police on an outstanding warrant. 

July 4

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 11:32 a.m., police were called to the railroad tracks off Johnson Street about a woman screaming, according to the report. Cromwell Police called Middletown officers after "pinging" a cell phone number to that area. Shawn A. Jones, 34, of LaBella Circle and a woman were on the tracks, the report says, and Jones was found with an outstanding warrant. 

July 3

SECOND-DEGREE HARASSMENT — At 2 p.m., Jake Cunningham, 19, of North Moodus Road, East Haddam, was picked up on an outstanding warrant.

NO PASSING ZONE, IMPROPER PASSING, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 2:32 p.m., Robert T. Ryan, 50, of Madison Road, Durham, was driving a Dodge Caravan on Newfield Street while driving dangerously in traffic, according to the report. He was stopped near the Cromwell line and told the officer because it was hot out he was driving "stupid."

July 2

NARCOTICS KEPT ONLY IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE AND WITH INTENT TO SELL, POSSESSION LESS THAN 4 OUNCES MARIJUANA — At 12:20 p.m., police watching 594 Main Street for drug transactions saw Edward A. Markham, 38, of Grand Street get out of a car and run toward Ferry Street then run back toward the Chevrolet Suburban and drove over the Portland Bridge, according to the report. He and the passenger, people say, made furtive movements in the car while pulling into the Hess gas station lot and when stopped turned over baggies with marijuana inside totaling 17.5 grams and five oxycodone pills.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATE WITHOUT MINIMUM INSURANCE, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — At 6:07 p.m., Devon M. Johnson, 26, of Military Road was driving a Nissan Maxima on South Main Street with a plate belonging to Ford Escort station wagon. When stopped, the report says, he told police he bought it for $750 from an unidentified man in East Hartford. He had two bags of marijuana inside totaling 1.4 grams, police say. 

July 1

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 2:18 p.m., Kenneth Wellman, 61, of Main Street was at Middlesex Hospital on Crescent Street after being admitted at 10 a.m., became agitated while in a room and ripped an EKG harness from the wall, causing $280 in damage, according to the report, and broke an oxygen sensor worth $120. Wellman admitted to police he did it because he was angry and made a mistake.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 9:56 p.m., Eduardo Noble, 33, of Town Colony Drive was driving a BMW on Westlake Drive with its tail lights out.

June 29

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, POSSESSION LESS THAN ONE OUNCE MARIJUANA, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — At 7:03 p.m., officers working undercover watching a Saybrook Road package store saw two youths and Guy P. Hall, 22, of Foothills Road, Higganum, exit a Ford Explorer and go toward it but went inside a Chinese restaurant, according to the report. Police say two walked as though they were drunk and smelled of alcohol and there was an open can of Busch Light in the car. Hall, the report says, admitted to drinking two or three beers and the officer smelled marijuana in the car. A search revealed a marijuana pipe with residue and a bag with 3 grams of marijuana inside.

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — At 9:38 p.m. Josue Viera, 36, of Pearl Street was driving a Toyota Corolla sedan with a plate registered to a station wagon. The report says Viera said he recently purchased the car from a family member with his girlfriend.
