Middletown Arrests: July 11-18

The following police reports are obtained directly from the Middletown Police public information officer and inclusion on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

July 18

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 12:15 p.m., Ross Cieniewicz, 47, of Main Street was assaulted by his girlfriend at a home on High Street while he was intoxicated, according to the report. His hand was cut from Tracy Wood, 50, of High Street assaulting him with a steak knife, police say. She told police they had been dating a month and was staying at her place while they were outside drinking and she asked him to leave but he would not, the report says. She tried to push him out of the apartment and he pushed back and forced his way inside, according to police. She denied brandishing a knife, saying her silverware was packed up because she Wood was moving. Both were arrested. At 2:15 p.m., police were called back to the apartment for Cieniewicz, who was there, he said, to get his cell phone and wallet from Wood. He was additionally charged with second-degree violating conditions of release.

PROSTITUTION — At 5 a.m., Shadora C. Arrington, 22, of Plaza Drive called police about being assaulted at a home on Newfield Street after meeting him on Main Street offering sex to Gary White, 50, of Braeburn Lane for $20, according to the report. Police say when she asked for the money, he showed her a ripped dollar bill so she tried to leave but he pushed her on the couch and got on top of her, according to the report, then took her cell phone so she couldn't call police. White denied at first he met with Arrington but then said he did but changed his mind because he didn't want to "disrespect his mother's apartment." 

She was charged with the above and he for interfering with an emergency call, patronizing a prostitute and second-degree unlawful restraint.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 7 a.m., Devon L. Roman, 33, of Lincoln Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant from Jan. 29.

July 14

BREACH OF PEACE — At 3 p.m., Michael Burrill, 34, of no certain address was at Spear Park on William Street and slapped a man on the face, according to the report. The victim's nose was bleeding and he was intoxicated, police say, and he said Burrill did it for no reason. Burrill told police the victim had called him a racial slur.

July 11

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, STOP SIGN VIOLATION — At 9 p.m., Jose L. Hernandez-Lopez, 32, of Broad Street, Meriden, was involved in a motor vehicle accident at High and Grand streets.
