Middletown Arrests: Feb. 13-24

The following information was provided by the police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, SECOND-DEGREE HARASSMENT — At 6:54 p.m., Dylan Esposito, 39, of Bartholomew Road was charged with sending more than 21 text messages to his ex-wife and trying to contact her, according to the report, by going over to his former brother-in-law's home and repeatedly ringing the doorbell and banging on the door.

Feb. 27

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 7:04 a.m., a female victim said Henry L. Nunes Jr., 54, of Castanea Court came home from drinking at the Moose Lodge, began cleaning the kitchen and told her, "why do you think I was at the bar all day? I didn't want to come home because you're crazy. You need a happy pill," according to the report. The victim kept getting ready for work, the report says, and Nunes tried to push her down the stairs so she took her handicapped son to his father's hours. Police say her arms and head were injured. At 8 a.m., Nunes walked into police headquarters saying they had been dating for nine years and they fought physically.

TWO COUNTS INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — William Bruzy, 50, of Labella Circle was stopped by police after a caller reported him intoxicated and trying to sell percocet pills on Main Street, the report says. He became combative when police tried to send him to the hospital for detox. There, police say, he pretended to pass out, and fought police and hospital security.

Feb. 22

THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY, FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT, INSURANCE FRAUD — Bukeka A. Riley, 38, of Durant Street was picked up by Middletown Police at West Hartford Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant.

Feb. 19

IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 6:36 p.m., Crystal Barnes, 32, of Ferry Street was driving a Nissan Altima on Grand Street with a plate registered to a Pontiac Sunfire. During the stop, police say, a man repeatedly came out of the house and yelled at the officer. df

Feb. 13

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 9:18 a.m., Christopher J. Rascoe, 21, of Labella Circle was at Rite Aid on Main Street when the loss prevention officer saw him conceal two boxes of Coricidin HBP cough and cold pills, according to the report, and left without paying. He told police two people told him they would get him high so he stole them.
