Middletown Arrests: Dec. 11-16

The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY, FRAUDULENT USE OF AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE — On Dec. 16 at noon, Terrance Harding, 45, of Johnson Street was seen by police walking on Spring Street with an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On Dec. 16 at 9:50 p.m., police were called to Town Brook on a domestic in which a woman was punched in the back of her head by Brent Bodziak, 33, of Town Brook. The victim told officers he had punched her in the back, grabbed a knife and made stabbing gestures, the report indicates, after they argued over her inability to make his dinner. Bodziak told officers he was angry because the girlfriend "doesn't clean or cook and sits around the house all day watching TV," and got angry she made dinner only for herself.

TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, RECKLESS DRIVING, FAILURE TO HAVE LIGHTS LIT — On Dec. 15 at 2 a.m., Cody J. Caron, 21, of Middlesex Avenue Extension, Portland, was in a truck facing the wrong direction on the Arrigoni Bridge on the Middletown side, the report says Portland Police indicate. After Caron made eye contact with the officer, the report says, he backed up his truck all the way to Spring Street then speed away in a 25mph zone, turn quickly onto High Street then turn his lights off, still speeding, then turn onto Washington. The officer saw him pull into the parking lot of Midtown Towing and park.

EVADING RESPONSIBILITY, TRAVELING AT UNREASONABLE SPEED, FAILURE TO CARRY CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE — On Dec. 14 at 12:02 p.m., Gabrielle V. Thompson, 21, of West Wynde Terrace was involved in a two-car rear-end accident on Newfield Street near M Mart.

FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY, THIRD-DEGREE FORGERY — On Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., Elisa DeJesus, 37, of Barr Road, Meriden, was picked up from Meriden Superior Court on an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE FORGERY, POSSESSION NARCOTICS, OBTAINING PRESCRIPTION BY FRAUD — On Dec. 13 at 5:03 p.m., Sylvia D. Rzadca, 34, of North Street, New Britain, turned herself in on an outstanding warrant. Rzadca forged five prescriptions, police say, from September 2011 to January 2012.

ILLEGAL OPERATION UNDER SUSPENSION, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE — On Dec. 11 at 10:07 a.m., Jeremy Rosabella, 40, of Staffard Avenue, Bristol, was driving an Acura with tinted windows on Washington Street.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On Dec. 11 at 7:42 p.m., police were called to Walnut Street on a domestic when a caller said John Onofrio, 50, of Walnut Street had "busted up her face." The report says Onofrio had a plate of food in his hands and was swaying back and forth with bloody knuckles and admitted to having two beers, then said he had punched the wall. The report says when they argued, Onofrio "went off," grabbed her by the hair and started "pounding" her.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On Dec. 11 at 8 p.m., police were called to McDonald's on Washington Street after a man said his ex-girlfriend Suzanna Marano, 21, of Prospect Street came inside and slapped him in the face, the report indicates. At her home, Marcano said she heard the victim make a remark about her under her breath and she pushed him when he got in her face, the report says.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Dec. 10, Majorie Saunders, 61, of Schaefer Road was driving a Jeep Wrangler on Prospect Street.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Dec. 10, Crystal Carrasquillo, 23, of Ferry Street was driving a Honda on Main near College Street with dark tinted windows.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Dec. 9, Timothy R. Sherrick Jr., 22, of Twiss Avenue, Meriden, was driving on Spring Street without a seatbelt.

ILLEGAL SALE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, AND BY NON-DRUG DEPENDENT PERSON, POSSESSION NARCOTICS, AND LESS THAN 4 OZ MARIJUANA — On Dec. 8 at 5:06 p.m., Marvin S. Harris, 39, of Cromwel Street, Meriden, was driving a Dodge Charger on Grand Street with an unlit rear license plate. When stopped, police smelled marijuana, according to the report, and a search revealed 18.4 grams of pot Harris said was for personal use. 100 small plastic baggies and a digital case, according to the report. Twenty-eight oxycodone pills were also discovered.

FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATES, FAILURE TO RENEW REGISTRATION, FAILURE TO CARRY LICENSE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — On Dec. 6 at 10:51 a.m., Tylesha O'Neil, 27, of Liberty Street was in a Pontiac parked in the lot of Sal's Package Store with a plate on the passenger side dashboard, the report says. She told officers she was in a hurry to get her passenger to Middlesex Hospital, the report says.

ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME — On Dec. 6, Lashanda Gregory, 26, of Main Street was caught by police in an undercover drug sting calling a recently charged dealer and asking for a "30," or $30 worth of Suboxone pills, the report says.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS — On Dec. 5 at 2:47 p.m., John F. Pillarella Jr., 48, of Clinton Avenue was in a Nissan Quest van parked in front of a home on Santangelo Circle for 45 minutes, according to a citizen complaint to police. Pillarella told officers he pulled over to make a phone call 15 minutes before.

USE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL — On Dec. 4, Corrine E. Balazsi, 30, of Lester Street, New Haven, was driving on Washington Street, entered the KidCity parking lot and stopped immediately. The report says she had several baggies of heroin in her mouth and a hypodermic needle.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, ILLEGAL OPERATION UNDER SUSPENSION, AND WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED — On Dec. 4 at 11:09 p.m., Omaira Y. Negron, 24, of Connecticut Avenue, Stamford, was seen by police speeding on North Main Street.

TWO COUNTS FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Dec. 4 at 3 p.m., Christopher Aresco, 24, of Aresco Drive turned himself in on two outstanding warrants.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, FAILURE TO HAVE STOP LAMPS — On Dec. 3 at 10:27 a.m., Amy Doolittle, 30, of Paddock Avenue, Meriden, was driving a Ford Taurus on Rapallo Avenue with a brake light out.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, FAILURE TO GRANT RIGHT OF WAY — On Dec. 1, Jhessyca A. Bezerra, 19, of Afton Terrace was involved in a car accident.

FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE, TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, NO INSURANCE AND OPERATING UNDER SUSPENSION — On Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. Smith Erenest, 58, of Peachtree Lane was driving on Mill Street, lost control of the car and hit a utility poll, the report says.
