Middletown police report the following arrests:
Jan. 10
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — At 5:58 a.m., police were called to a home on Burr Avenue by a woman who said her grandson was in a fight with Robert M. Russell, 20, of South Main Street. The report says she awoke to him hitting her grandson and her husband separated them, then Russell said he and the grandson were hanging out then they started making fun of each others' family members. Police say he picked up an alarm clock and hit the grandson in the head repeatedly.

FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 8:45 p.m., Russell K. Geter, 43, of Grove Street and Wildwood Lane was picked up from the Waterbury Police Department on a Middletown warrant from July.

OPERATION UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, FAILURE TO CARRY CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATES, OPERATION WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — Jeffrey Narvaez, 23, of Stoneycrest Drive was speeding on Main Street without a front plate.

ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS, ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME — Middletown Street Crime served a warrant at a home on Liberty Street and multiple people were arrested on narcotics-related charges, the report says, including Michael J. Sauve, 46, of Main Street after a cell phone repeatedly rang with him asking the arrested dealer for $20 worth of narcotics and met an undercover officer at the Eli Cannon's parking lot and admitted to trying to buy crack cocaine. Officers say he had $20 in his hand. He said he had just met the dealer named "Money" the day before.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE — At 11:12 a.m., Jose Diana, 21, of Maplewood Terrace was driving in the Metro Square parking lot with a suspended registration due to lack of insurance.
