Man Slugs Girlfriend Who Wouldn't Accept Apology: Police

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, INTERFERING WITH EMERGENCY CALL — On Aug. 17 at 1:34 p.m., Tamaria M. Patterson, 22, of St. Casimir Street, Meriden, was at 206 South Main Street on the report of a 911 hangup call with a woman screaming in the background. The victim said her two-year boyfriend, Patterson, left the scene after a verbal argument over him taking money from her wallet. He punched her on the left cheek, apologized and when she said she was angry, he became enraged and said, “I might as well [expletive] you up if you are not going to accept my apology, you cop-calling [expletive].” She ran outside to call 911 and he hit her head and ripped the cell phone from her hand and smashed it on the ground. Two women told police where he was and he said to them “you’re a couple of grimy [expletive]” twice.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On Aug. 16, Dominic Noyes, 34, of Lery Street, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Chad Germe, 30, of Red Clover Circle were at Mezzo Bar on Court Street. Two men were leaving when Noyes and Germe approached them aggressively. Noyes punched a victim in the face, knocking him out. He fell back and hit the sidewalk, hitting his head. The friend jumped on Noyes’ back and was punched in the face by Germe. Police found them in Metro Square.

THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — On Aug. 15, Denzel Teart, 19, and Zahrod Jackson, 18, both of Grove Street and Devonte Tenn, 18, of Lake Drive, were all arrested on Loveland Street, part of three males involved in a disturbance at Traverse Square. They were found hiding in the basement and arrested.

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL — On Aug. 5 at 8:30 p.m., Derek H. Hamlin, 33, of Clinton Avenue was seen in front of Los Primos on Main Street talking to a white male, then hand over something to the other, glance back at police and walk in the opposite direction. Hamlin admitted to having marijuana in his pocket; police found six baggies with marijuana inside.
