THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, FIRST-DEGREE UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT — On Sept. 10 at 4:53 p.m., Edgar Taylor, 53, of Braeburn Lane was picked up at New Britain Police with an outstanding warrant.

TWO COUNTS VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On Sept. 9 at 9:02 p.m., Tywan Jones, 33, of Corbin Avenue, New Britain, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant from Aug. 15.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — On Sept. 9 at 12:58 a.m., Christopher Collins, 27, of Beverley Heights turned himself in a police headquarters.

FOUR COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 8, Stephen A. Rivas, 25, of Steele Street, New Britain, was stopped on Eastern Drive for a motor vehicle charge.

BREACH OF PEACE, VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On Sept. 8 at 12:15 a.m., officers responded to a Grand Street parking lot, where six to eight people were gathered as Michael Naud, 23, of Grand Street was yelling at another man using vulgar language, waking up neighbors. Naud said he had an argument earlier with his girlfriend and they made up; later he was hanging out with friends and had a pint of Jagermeister and several beers. A woman wanted to talk to him about the fight and hit the brim of Naud’s hat when he ignored her. The man jumped in and tried to break things up, which is when Naud tried to hit him.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Sept. 8 at 10:03 p.m., Steven Caldwell, 20, of Black Rock Avenue, New Britain, went to his girlfriend’s house with his sister. They fought because she wanted him to leave, he took money from her purse, rent money he had given her a few days prior. They yelled, he pushed her against the wall and hit a table, knocking over a chair. Police called him and he agreed to meet them at his sister’s apartment on Plaza Drive. He said she pushed the table, nothing physical had happened and he didn’t take money. The sister said the girlfriend hit Caldwell and he pushed her off.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, SECOND-DEGREE FORGERY — On Sept. 8, Joshua Springer, 23, of Old Mill Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, USE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On Sept. 8, John J. Damico, 47, of Hampton Lane, Abington, was driving a Lexus on Newfield Street while intoxicated. He was found parked in the Mukie Mart lot. He told police he was just hanging out; they saw two used hypodermic needles in the center console. He said they belonged to his sister. In a pat-down, officers found a crack pipe and a 10-pill sample of Xanax with one pill remaining.

SALE, USE AND POSSESSION OF FIREWORKS — On Sept. 7, Salvatore J. Lagana, 41, of Chauncey Road was lighting off Great Grizzly Bear fireworks when a neighbor complained. Lagana said he set them off, but they only went 15 feet in the air. He bought them at Wal-Mart and was “tired of harassment” from his neighbor.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 7, Miguel Martinez, 52, of Maplewood Terrace turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 7 at 11:10 a.m., Christina L. Harris, 28, of D’Addorio Road turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

FAILURE TO CARRY MINIMUM INSURANCE, OPERATING UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Sept. 6 at 1:36 a.m., Casandra L. Nimro, 24, of Frazier Avenue was driving on Main Street. She said she had gotten a ticket the week before for the registration but had to go to work.
