Man Arrested After Fight With Ex Over Feminine Products

Middletown Police report the following incidents.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — On Sept. 18 at 11:30 a.m., Steven Caldwell, 20, of Black Rock Avenue, New Britain, was on Stoneycrest Drive arguing with a woman. When police arrived, they asked if she was OK and if anyone was there. Caldwell was found upstairs lying face down on the bed. He gave a fake name. The woman said she invited him and his sister over to watch the boxing match and they had been drinking. The sister got into an argument with a man; they figured the police were coming so Caldwell went upstairs to pretend to be sleeping. 

SALE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT, DISTRIBUTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL — On Sept. 18 at 8:45 a.m., Nyoko Chamblee, 36, of Wall Street was walking on Main Street and police identified him as having an active warrant.

TWO COUNTS VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER, DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Sept. 18 at 7:28 p.m., police received a 911 call that Robert E. Flynn, 54, of Hillside Avenue was holding a victim down on the kitchen floor, refusing to let her leave. He had an active warrant.

FAILURE TO RESPOND — On Sept. 17 at 3 p.m., police saw Douglas E. Wagner, 45, of no certain address walk by police headquarters with a known active warrant.

BREACH OF PEACE — On Sept. 17, Michelle Borelli, 50, and Tara Collar, 24, both of Liberty Street were arrested at home.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On Sept. 17 at 9:19 a.m., Thomas Gilliam III, 40, of Maynard Street was on Schaefer Road and his ex-girlfriend called police on an unwanted person, the fourth time within 12 hours. Gilliam left in his car. A witness saw him entering the house with a key and identified what he was wearing. Gilliam denied this.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT — On Sept. 16 at 1 p.m., Jerome Harris, 27, of South Main Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER, BREACH OF PEACE — On Sept. 16 at 8:22 p.m., police were called to an active domestic on Mill Street and were told the female involved was walking down the street. The male, Michael Baton, 21, of Hotchkiss Street, had left to go home. The woman was hysterical. She said she had called her ex-boyfriend to see if he could bring her sanitary napkins. He said he wasn’t sure if he would that night. He eventually arrived while she was smoking Head Trip and argued with her about their 2-month-old child in DCF custody. He threw her to the ground and hit her. When police found Baton at home, he told them he had brought her the napkins and was asked to leave though he was angry because she only calls him when she needs things. A neighbor said he heard them arguing and Baton sounded drunk, then the sound of something falling.
