Hearing June 20 on Noise Levels at Local Firing Range

Middletown police want to meet with residents to discuss noise levels coming from the Dingwall Horan Joint Firearms Training Facility, which is located at the border of Middletown and Middlefield.

Residents who live near the Dingwall Horan Joint Firearms Training Facility at the border between Middlefield and Middletown are encouraged to attend a meeting next week on the noise levels coming from the facility.

The date of the meeting has been set as June 20.

The Middletown Police Department is expected to make upgrades to the facility regarding noise abatement. Residents in the area are asked to voice any concerns they have regarding noise levels.

Staff will be setting up a meeting at the Westfield Fire House but would like to find out how many people are interested in attending.

The facility is located off of Route 66.
