Pair Arrested on Main After Groping, Groin Kick: Cops

Middletown Police arrest reports through May 17.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY — On May 17, Michael Arboscello, 22, of Maiden Lane, Durham, was driving a white Celica on Ridge Road when police discovered it was stolen. The owner had requested police pursue charges. He was given a June 1 court date.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On May 17, Raymond Rich, 55, of Cook Avenue, Meriden, was in Bank of America on Main Street when an employee called about a suspicious person. He left the bank, then officers discovered he had an outstanding warrant. He was given a 9 a.m. court date.

FIRST- AND SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On May 17, Tommy C. Johnson, 27, of Stoneycrest Drive turned himself into police for outstanding warrants from an Oct. 13, 2010, incident on Washington Street and April 15 incident on Main Street. He was given a May 18 court date.

CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On May 16, Michael Pasquale, 32, of Congdon Street was on East Main Street when his ex-wife called police. Two of his four children and the ex-wife have a protective order against him. Pasquale admitted texting his daughter. He was given a May 17 court date.

POSSESSION PRESCRIPTION DRUG, AND NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE — On May 15, Edward Rankins, 56, of Afton Terrace was found with two prescription bottles with several pills in each, neither were his. He was given a May 30 court date.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On May 14, Franklin Brown, 52, of Newfield Street was seen walking on Liberty Street  with an outstanding warrant from a Feb. 25 incident. He was given a May 20 court date.

FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY, DUI — On May 13, Lia Boyd, 36, of Sears Street was driving on Washington Street and was involved with a car accident with a motorcycle. She was standing by the car, crying, saying sorry and asking if the two people on the motorcycle were OK. The officer smelled alcohol on her breath. The two riders were sent to Middlesex Hospital. She failed the field sobriety test. Her breath test registered .118 blood alcohol content and .113. She was given a May 26 court date.

MISUSE OF MARKER PLATE, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE AND UNREGISTERED — On May 13, Marco Gonzalez, 40, of Hillside Avenue was driving on Newfield Street without a marker plate. He was given a May 25 court date.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On May 13, Daniel P. Bruni, 28, of Hubbard Street was involved in a fight on the sidewalk on Hubbard Street while intoxicated. The victim said Bruni head butted him and knocked his front tooth out, but declined to press charges. He was given a May 25 court date.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE AND UNREGISTERED — On May 13, Pamela S. Austin, 40, of Chestnut Street was driving on Main Street without a front plate.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On May 12, David Day, 53, of Caroline Drive, Rocky Hill, was outside Ramani’s Clothiers on Main Street. He told police his friend, Silvana C. Gerrish, 30, of Green Street had asked for money and he refused, then she became aggravated and kicked him in the groin. He fell and hit his head on the sidewalk. He was highly intoxicated and had trouble speaking. Gerrish said Day had grabbed her rear end and had in the past touched her breasts when he was drunk. She said she kicked him in the stomach then tried to help him up but he was too intoxicated and she left. Police say she smelled of alcohol. A witness saw the kick and Day falling to the ground. Both were given a May 26 court date.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On May 12, Carmen Rivas, 18, of Hickory Circle was in a fight with Kristina J. Thompson, 20, of West Wynd Terrace at Pine Grove Cemetery. Rivas ripped Thompson’s dress and left scratch marks and a lump on her face. Rivas was additionally charged with threatening on May 11. Both were given a May 25 court date.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE AND UNREGISTERED — On May 11, Donna L. McLaughlin, 50, of Marlborough was driving on Saybrook Road.

MISUSE OF MARKER PLATE, OPERATING UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On May 11, Matthew W. Rourke, 42, of Wiess Road, Haddam, was driving on East Main Street. He was given a May 25 court date.

SALE CRACK COCAINE, AND WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL, POSSESSION OF CRACK COCAINE — On May 10, Christopher C. Ebron, 22, of Town Ridge Drive was seen by police selling crack to Debra A. Allocca, 52, of Main Street while on Liberty Street. She put it in her hand and walked to Main Street where police stopped her. Both were given May 24 court dates.

FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELT, OPERATING WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE — On May 8, Joel J. Rivera, 24, of Main Street was driving on Main.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On May 7, Brandon Drake, 21, of Saybrook Road left Bobs Store while wearing a shirt and sneakers he had not paid for. He was given a May 20 court date.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA — On May 7, Marquay Wynn, 20, of Litchfield Court was driving on Main Street and police smelled marijuana coming from inside. A bag was found with marijuana inside. He was given a May 19 court date.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA — On May 6, Thomas H. Fournier, 52, of Portland-Cobalt Road, Portland, was driving on High Street without a seatbelt and a broken taillight. The officer saw several marijuana “roaches” in the center console and smelled marijuana and Fournier turned over two baggies with pot inside. He was given a May 18 court date.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On May 3, Doris White, 43, of Summer Hill Road was at a disturbance on Hillside Avenue where several people were bruised or bleeding. White was accused of fighting with two others, Sandra Privott, 52, of Hillside Avenue, and Dorothy A. Outlaw, 46, of Pratt Street, Meriden. Also involved were White’s 15-year-old daughter and Jerry E. Barron, 46, of Columbus Street, Meriden. Everyone accused the other of causing the fight and using knives and pipes, but none were found. The juvenile was charged with breach of peace.
