'Don't Tase Me, Bro' — Marry Me
Middletown Police say a 21-year-old street brawl suspect who fought arrest was subdued by a Taser then asked the female arresting officer taking his fingerprints to marry him.
An intoxicated city man who grappled with police and had to be Tased ended up proposing to a female officer who fingerprinted him back at the station.
On Feb. 4, a highly intoxicated Alexis J. Marcano, 21, of Rapallo Avenue was found by arguing with another man at Main and Court streets.

An unidentified male victim told officers he was walking up Court Street when he saw Marcano, a stranger, being hassled by a group of men. As the victim passed Marcano, the report says, he began punching him so the victim pushed him away twice, causing Marcano to fall to the ground.
Police ordered them to stop as Marcano, became belligerent toward officers and emergency personnel treating a cut to his lip: swearing at them and saying he was going to “merk” them, which is slang for murder, the report details.

While being handcuffed and placed in the cruise, police say, Marcano physically fought arrest, swore vilely at officers and kicked one in the stomach; so officers Tased him.
At headquarters, the report says, Marcano acted “bizarre and irrational” — one minute being hostile, saying police were going to be sued for $1 million; the next apologizing to them. He admitted resisting arrest but said it was OK because he wasn’t “throwing punches.”
When one officer was taking his fingerprints, Marcano told her he wanted to marry her, the report says.
He refused to say how much he drank.
Marcano was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to assist a peace officer.
