Cops: Suspect in Devil Halloween Mask Robs Liquor Store

Middletown Police are looking for leads after they say a man with a handgun stole cash from Sal's Package Store just before noon today.

Middletown Police are searching for a man in a devil Halloween mask who they say robbed a liquor store near Stop & Shop just before noon today.

On Wednesday at 11:48 a.m., officers responded to 326 East Main Street (Sal’s Package Store) for a report of a robbery. On scene, police were told a male suspect walked inside wearing a black, red and white mask, possibly of a devil. 

The report says the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the clerk hand over money in the register. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, the report says. No one was injured.

The suspect was wearing a grey-colored hooded sweatshirt (zipper-type), denim jeans (light-colored or faded), black sneakers and black gloves. Police say the suspect was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. 

Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
