Cops: Man With 26 Pending Arrests Verbally Accosts Woman in Spear Park

Middletown Police report the following arrests.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Aug. 8, Sok Kyu Yi, 64, of Main Street was in the 400 block when he and Laura Dykas, 54, of Glynn Avenue were arguing about having sex with each other when she refused because he has other girlfriends. She said he punched her and pushed her on the bed. He said she spit on him, kicked the back of his head and bit his arm. Both were arrested, Dykas additionally for third-degree assault.

THIRD-DEGREE BURGLARY — On Aug. 7, officers were flagged down on Liberty Street in front of Aresco’s Market. One man, Shawn Spinali, 32, of High Street, was found with an outstanding warrant after he told police he found a stolen car in the parking lot.

TWO COUNTS FAILURE TO RESPOND — On Aug. 6 at 8:53 p.m., Sean Carville, 33, of no certain address, Meriden, was sitting on the steps of First Baptist Church on Main Street at William, drinking out of a 40-ounce beer bottle. He had two active warrants, one for drinking in public and the other for simple trespass.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Aug. 6 at 9:56 p.m., Jessica E. Bersing, 28, was walking on Main Street with an outstanding Naugatuck warrant.

FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Aug. 6, Anthony J. Dempsey, 49, of Frazier Avenue was at Middlesex Hospital with an outstanding warrant.

FAILURE TO RESPOND — On Aug. 5, Daniel J. Ventre, 28, of Main Street was walking north on South Main with an outstanding warrant.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FINGERPRINTS — On Aug. 5, Gary Roundtree, 48, of Labella Circle caused a disturbance at the Inn at Middletown on Main Street, left and went to Spear Park, approached a couple and began screaming at the woman repeatedly, “I want to have sex with you!” He appeared semi-intoxicated. He was arrested that day on four other incidents: two disorderly conducts, two creating a public disturbance and breach of peace. His probation officer said Roundtree had 26 pending cases in Hartford Community Court and he had applied for an arrest warrant for violation of probation.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On Aug. 5, Brian Rahrig, 49, of Arnold Street tried to enter his house by breaking a basement window. The girlfriend of his stepson called police. He said he didn’t care about the order because he wanted to get his motorcycle to go to Bridgeport and see his father in the hospital.

BREACH OF PEACE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — On Aug. 5 at 10:38 a.m., Michelle Galanto, 27, of Jerome Avenue, Bristol, told police her ex-boyfriend, Michael Farmer, 27, of Burgundy Hill Lane, smashed the windshield of her car after meeting him in the parking lot of Wooster Street Pizza in Cromwell to pick up their daughter. He gave her the $300 he owed her and rolled up the window while she was speaking to the girl. She drove to his apartment and said he smashed her windshield. She denied it. Both were arrested, Galanto only for breach of peace.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Aug. 5, Gary Roundtree, 48 of Labella Circle was at the Community Health Center dental office on Main Street and began threatening to assault several patients. When the receptionist asked him to leave, he said he would “kick her [expletive].” He told police he was upset at people in Hartford.
