THREATENING — On Nov. 27, police were called to Chamberlain and Elizabeth roads on a disturbance in which group home residents had to restrain James L. Brown, 28, of Chamberlain Road because he was out of control. When police entered the Alliance Group Home, Brown allegedly saw them and said, “you mother [expletive] called the cops,” then to police, “I don’t like cops; get the [expletive] out of my way.” He then told those present, “I am going to kill you mother [expletive] when the cops leave,” then repeated it, the report says. When an officer asked if he meant it, he replied, “Yeah, I’m going to kill everyone then call you and be like, ‘you got to come back here because everyone is dead,’ then I’m going to kill you, too.” When asked by police if he had a plan, the report says, he responded, “when you leave I’m going to get a knife out of the kitchen and kill everyone.” The staff member allegedly told police he suffered from mental retardation and that there were no additional services for him. Back at headquarters, Brown reportedly said what he had done wrong was hit the car and threatening people. In 2009, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, the report indicates.
