Cops: Arguing Couple Ups Ante With Axe, Golf Club

Middletown Police report the following arrests.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

FOURTH-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, INTERFERING WITH POLICE OFFICER, ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, RISK OF INJURY — On Aug. 23, Ashley Pagano, 34, of Cubeta Road was arrested.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Aug. 22, Reginald Holley, 42 of Military Road and Brandi Guglietti, 27, of Stack Street were seen with another person by a witness arguing and holding weapons. Holley was holding a golf club and gesturing like he was going to hit someone and the Guglietti had a yellow-handled axe at her side. Holley was yelling and Guglietti was afraid he would wake her sleeping children. Someone threw a beer bottle at Holley and kicked his bike over. Both were arrested.

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE — On Aug. 20 at 2 a.m., police were called to the Shadow Room on Main Street. They found

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE — Branden Carr, 18, of Mirtle Street, Meriden, fighting with another black male at the corner of Main and Dingwall Drive. Carr hid behind people in the crowd and walked down the stairwell. He pulled his arms away from officers and when placed on the ground began kicking and flailing his arms. A baggie fell out of his pocket with .5 grams of marijuana.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — Joseph Lozinski of Wall Street, Cromwell, was driving south on Main Street with a cracked front window.

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL, FAILURE TO KEEP NARCOTICS IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER — On Aug. 19, Anita M. Ackerman, 22, of Middletown Avenue, East Hampton, was driving south on Main without a seatbelt. The officer smelled marijuana and saw in plain view plastic bags on the floor. She said she had a narcotics problem in the past but was staying clean. Officers found a clear glass pipe, brillo and 1½ suboxone pills. She said she was using them to stay clean.

FOURTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Aug. 18 at 4:41 p.m., Steven Fortier, 22, of Gravel Street, Meriden, was at Home Depot on Washington Street, where he worked, trying to leave without paying. The manager found five rechargeable lithium batteries in and seven high-pressure nozzles for a power washer valued at $715.76. Fortier said he put them in a garbage can in the men’s room and took them at the end of his shift. He admitted to stealing from the store for a month.

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, AND HALLUCENOGENICS — On Aug. 16 at 8:08 p.m., police saw a Maxima driving on Grand Street with a headlamp out. Franswa A. Noland, 18, of Grand Street was the right rear passenger and police smelled marijuana. A search revealed 3.4 grams of pot and an ecstasy pill.
