City Man in Critical Condition After Jeep Hits Tree

Driver had to be extricated after late Saturday crash on Forest Street.

A 27-year-old Middletown man is in serious condition at Hartford Hospital after his Jeep hit a tree on Forest Street late Saturday.

Keith Davis was driving his 2002 Grand Cherokee north on Forest Street, two-tenths of a mile south of Middlefield Street, at 11 p.m. when the Jeep traveled to the right and off the roadway, hitting a tree, according to Middletown Police.

Davis was extricated from the vehicle by Middletown firefighters and transported to Hartford Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
