Police: City Man Caught With 11 Ecstasy Pills

Middletown Police Reports Through April 6

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

POSSESSION OF CRACK COCAINE, OF UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, BOTH WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, FAILURE TO RESPOND TO INFRACTION — On April 6, Comedess Wheless, 48, of Grant Street, New Haven, turned himself into Middletown Police on three outstanding warrants stemming from a Dec. 6, 2010, incident on Main Street. He was given an April 13 court date.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On April 5, Christopher Blake of Washington Street, 22, was found by police at the scene of a domestic assault, bleeding from his left ear. He told police he had argued with his roommate, who punched him in the face. He was brought to Middlesex Hospital and given an April 6 court date.

SECOND- AND FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On April 5, Richard Rivers, 32, of no certain address was found sleeping in the park adjacent to Harbor Park. He had two outstanding warrants from Jan. 7, 2009.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On April 4, Peter R. Fusco, 25, of Pomeroy Place was a passenger in a routine motor vehicle stop and found with two new packaged T-Mobile cell phones valued at $19.99 each. He admitted stealing them from CVS. He was given an April 20 court date.

CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER, SECOND-DEGREE HARASSMENT — On April 4, Matthew J. Coman, 45, of Grove Street turned himself into police on an arrest warrant stemming from a Nov. 15, 2010, incident. He was given an April 5 court date.

OPERATING UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE AND WITHOUT INSURANCE, MISUSE OF MARKER PLATE — On April 3, Rafael A. Deleon, 45, of Stoneycrest Drive was pulled over on Newfield Street after his license plate identified another car. He was given an April 19 court date.

POSSESSION OF UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On April 1, Robert M. Dickens, 19, of Catherine Street, Middlefield, was the back-seat passenger in a car parked on East Main Street. Police said he was looking straight ahead with bloodshot eyes, avoiding eye contact; and when asked if he had marijuana on him, offered a baggie with a small metal pipe and burnt marijuana residue. He was given an April 13 court date.

OPERATING UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE AND WITHOUT INSURANCE — On April 1, Hector Rosa Jr., 32, of Kensington Avenue, Meriden, was driving on Main Street with his front license plate on the dashboard.

POSSESSION ECSTASY AND WITH INTENT TO SELL, WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL AND WITHIN DAY CARE — Kawan W. Jordan, 26, of Inverness Lane was driving down Main Street in the area of Ferry with a car with a broken right rear taillight. The officer detected the smell of marijuana and the front passenger admitted they had smoked earlier in the day. Eleven ecstasy pills were found in the car. He was given an April 13 court date.

DUI — On April 2, Scott D. Parker, 24, of Center Street, Wallingford, was found at the scene of the report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the Washington Street McDonald’s parking lot about an individual who had tried to burglarize the Auto Zone next door. He admitted to police he had had four drinks at two different bars that evening. He was given an April 13 court date.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE, FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELT — On March 30, Jennifer A. Dauphin, 25, of County Line Road, Harwinton, was seen driving on Washington Street. She was given an April 11 court date.
